As we age, our body’s natural collagen begins to diminish and wrinkles, grooves and creases appear. These facial lines, wrinkles and depressed scars can now be instantly smoothed and softened. This safe, non-surgical treatment replaces the natural collagen support layer beneath your skin and literally “fills in” unwanted lines and wrinkles. Injectables can also be used to fill in the troughs under the eyes that form as we age. Injectable fillers are one of the fastest, most effective therapies for wrinkles and scars available today.
- Eliminate wrinkles and scars
- Add volume to sagging skin
- Quick and painless treatment
- A more youthful appearance

About Injectable Fillers
Today’s fillers are much improved over the injectable fillers of the past. Clients can expect these products to remain soft and take on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue. The range of products offered at SKIN MediSpa includes the very latest and most effective injectable products available, including Juvéderm®, Perlane™, RADIESSE®, and Restylane®. These products are typically used for smoothing and contouring smile lines or nasolabial folds, wrinkles at the corner of the mouth, vertical lip lines, acne scars, facial defects or recessions, frown lines, restoring volume in and around the cheeks, filling in the trough underneath the eyes, providing lip definition and modest enhancement or correcting asymmetrical features. Due to the safe and compatible materials used in the Injectable Fillers at SKIN MediSpa, no pre-testing of any kind is required.
Prior to Treatment
Prior to treatment you will be scheduled for a consultation with our medical director with expertise in aesthetic injections as well as over 20 years experience in creating beautiful aesthetic outcomes for patients of all ages. Our medical director will recommend a custom treatment program based on each client’s medical history and needs. As the required volume varies from client to client, a price quote will be provided at the time of consultation.
The treatment will take roughly between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the areas being injected, and no recovery time is needed. A mild localized anesthetic can be used to minimize or usually eliminate the pain associated with this type of treatment. The numbing effects will last anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on the anesthetic used. There is usually no pain experienced after the treatment.
There is minor inflammation or swelling from the treatment as a result of the expansion of facial tissue. This normally resolves well within 24 hours but has been reported to last as long as 48 hours for some clients. Some patients may also experience some tenderness at the injection site. Most clients resume normal activities only a few hours after receiving treatment. Application of ice intermittently for a short period after the treatment will help reduce any swelling. You should avoid activities that will strain your facial features for 48 hours following treatment as much as possible. For example, avoid activities such as strenuous laughing, using a straw, and chewing gum.
The duration of the correction achieved with any injectable filler is dependent on the type of filler used.. Individual patient preferences as well as differences in product characteristics is what will determine which product is best for each patient and this is discussed during the consultation process. Depending on the specific product used and the area of injection, temporary fillers usually produce results that last anywhere from 6-12 months.
Injectable Fillers will not be administered to pregnant women or nursing mothers.
